This is the most empowering song I have ever heard. Lorde is telling a story about herself, a woman who was a great writer before a toxic man entered her life and an even greater writer when he left. She shouts a message that I will forever try my hardest to live up to, ‘you can't change me’.

Everyone in this world can learn a little from these lyrics. Love is what our world needs right now, love can overcome anything. It overcomes evil and unkindness, negative feelings and unhappiness within a population, it can change any wrong our world contains right now. I listen to this song every morning and it helps me put a more positive outlook on my day.

This quote is the embodiment of how I comfort others. Giving advice is not a skill of mine because every time I have tried to be helpful I have ultimately only made the situation worse. I think sarcastic comments are better than advice because you can't mess up!

Media is not as negative as we sometimes perceive it to be. Songs help me cope with stress, as I let it all out by singing to Lorde or Hundred Waters at the top of my lungs while I dance about my room. TV shows like Friends allow me to identify with characters and reflect on my own life as well. Media is not always the monster it can be.
